Information used to operate the website

When you visit a website, its hosting and network services process technical information needed to deliver and protect it, such as your IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time. GB Nomics is hosted through Sites infrastructure. Hosting services may keep operational and security logs under their own retention arrangements.

The dashboard does not ask you to create an account, enter financial holdings or provide personal information. Its data requests go to the site’s own endpoints; those endpoints obtain economic and market data from external publishers. The dashboard does not deliberately include your chart selections in its advertising requests.

Preferences on your device

When you choose light or dark appearance, the site saves that choice in your browser’s local storage under gb-nomics-theme. This is used to remember the display preference. It remains until you clear the site’s browser data or change the preference. Charts and data tables continue to work if this storage is unavailable.

Advertising and analytics

Advertising is currently paused. GB Nomics does not load the AdSense advertising script or request ads. A publisher verification meta tag and an ads.txt file remain available; these do not set advertising cookies or send browser requests to Google. The site does not include Google Analytics.

If advertising is enabled later, third-party vendors, including Google and its advertising partners, may use cookies, local storage, web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers to serve and measure advertisements, prevent fraud and personalise ads based on previous visits to this and other websites, where permitted. Google’s advertising cookies allow it and its partners to tailor ads using those visits. Processing and retention by Google are described in its linked policies.

You can use Google’s advertising settings to opt out of personalised advertising. You can also manage participating vendors through YourAdChoices. These settings do not disable all advertising or replace any consent choices presented on this site.

Consent before advertising

Before advertising is enabled, the site will need an appropriate consent setup, including a Google-certified consent management platform where required. A privacy notice or a simple accept button is not a substitute for that platform. At present there is no advertising consent to withdraw because advertising requests are disabled. You can remove the saved appearance preference through your browser’s site-data controls.

Source and reference links take you to websites operated by other organisations. Visiting them is subject to their own privacy notices. GB Nomics does not control those services.

Contact info@gbnomics.com about privacy questions or requests relating to information the operator holds. If you email, your address and the information you choose to send will be used to handle your enquiry. Avoid sending financial account details or other unnecessary sensitive information.
